Hmm I’m really getting in to facebook. It’s addictive - all of these little applications to play with, lots of linking to friends and encouraging you to pull your less IT savvy mates in to its sweaty grip.

I’m currently racking my brain to think of all of the countries I have visited so that the world doesn’t look quite so barren.

And who would have known that the reason I’m a bit tired today is because of the biorhythms, not the violent food poisoning that I got at the weekend from my next door neighbour’s BBQ!

So this evening i must have spent at least 90 minutes fiddling around with my profile, and I’m not entirely sure that I have anything at all to show for it.

At least with MMORPGs you pay for your addiction, when the addiction is free and involves no dwarf tossing at all, then it is surely just plain wrong…!

The observant amongst you may have noticed that the theme has changed. You may have also noticed that it looks a bit messy in places. Bear with me I am tarting up the theme as I go so it will get better, I promise.

All of this is to bring the blog in to this century and allow me to do some whizzy new things, like hypnotise you and make you dance like rabid donkeys, which I have only seen once and it was disturbing.

I’ve added some links under “chat“ on to the right hand side of the site that will guide you to the places I frequent on the interweb. These are the forums that I hang around and make snide comments on. So come along, look for “matt hat” or similar and say hello. (more…)

So now I have mastered the HTML nightmare that is myspace, and given that The Hoff still hasn’t accepted me as his friend, I’ve signed up with another social networking site, Face Book.

So head over, say hello and let’s be friends…

Mr. T - the ultimate MySpace friend? So day 2 of being on MySpace and I am still trying to come to terms with the whole concept. I was really struggling with it until Sir William of Shatner became my “friend”… then suddenly I was star struck and realised that MySpace is indeed one big ruse to cheat at the pub game “Six degrees of Kevin Bacon”. I mean, If I’m only a MySpace link away from William Shatner and Keira Knightley, then linking to Kevin Bacon is a doddle, surely?

Then for a few brief minutes I got very carried away linking to lots of other people that are famous and I would like to link to - Derren Brown, Faithless, James, and I eagerly await links from Mr. T and the Hoff for my page to really impress. Very disappointed that Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers) doesn’t have a page.

So last night I excitedly showed Jen my page, and in particular my link to Captain Kirk. She had a good look around it and said “What’s the point?”

“You get links from people, look, Faithless, down there.”

“Why?”

“er, because that’s what you do.”

“Why?”

“I’ve no idea.”

“Pointless.”

And she has a point. For all the fuss I still don’t understand what MySpace does.

My brother was explaining to me MySpace on saturday… all of the cool stuff, networking and the like, so I decided to set up a MySpace page and copy blog posts over there.

So if you are a MySpacer and want to be my friend, head over to:

And say hello, add yourself as my friend and we can do MySpacey things together.

Yesterday I read an excellent article by Adam Eason over at NLP Weekly. Talking about reframing - he gives some excellent examples of how everything has a frame or context, and by jumping outside of that frame and reframing the point of view you can make swift strides in overcoming objections and breaking people out of unproductive trances. Well worth a read.

Adam Eason’s Hypnotic blog is always worth a read, plenty of interesting and entertaining hypnosis material for your enjoyment!

Well I spent my lunchtime playing around with a social networking plugin for this very blog. When I finally got it working I realised that it made the site look untidy and quite frankly I didn’t want snotty internet geeks dissing my site, I can do that perfectly well on my own.

And it is of course nothing to do with the fact that I don’t understand what social networking is. Nothing at all. Move along.

I’ve added a little about me page. The title is a lie because what I did was put myself in to trance, deep enough to be away with the faries, but light enough to, er type. This is what I came up with. Is it my conscious or unconscious talking? You decide, either way I think it is about me without me going on about which books I like or what types of movie I enjoy scifi.

Steve Kinsey’s new blogSteve K, creator of the excellent www.digitallard.co.uk has created a new blog over at www.stevekinsey.com, so if you are in to gadgets, movies, web stuff and HD (grr yes he has it and I don’t) head over and say hello. Be sure to come back mind, I only write this stuff for you, you know…
