Caprica Six doesn't realise that her dress is a little too revealingWell season 2 of Battlestar Galactica has been absolutely awesome. It took the storylines in to new areas, developed the characters and genuinely surpassed any thoughts of it being a remake. The original pales in to comparison now. Never afraid to send the story in unexpected directions, the finale really takes this to an extreme by offering a haven to the weary travellers: New Caprica. Nestles in the heart of a cloaking nebula, this unoccupied offers a place to start again for many of the colonists, and scheming Baltar seizes this as an opportunity to win the presidency. When Roslin fixes the election, it is left to Adama to stand for democracy, and so Baltar is elected president and orders that the fleet settle on New Caprica. (more…)

Ellie Chidzey as LuxI’ve added some nice new closeup pictures to the Ellie Chidzey page, from the Dungeons and Dragons movie. Enjoy!

Crazy Tim WonnacottIt beggars belief that a programme that costs more to make than the money it dishes out to the competitors can be so entertaining. I missed out on this programme when David Dickinson used to be in it, but the current presenter Tim Wonnacott is barking mad, and it is amusing if only for the stunningly poor profits (losses?) that most teams make.

The principle error is that the whole premise of the programme is in error due to a misunderstanding of the supply chain for antiques.

What are you on about I hear you ask? Right well here goes. (more…)

The clouds seemed to be gathering together to mask the stars and moon from view. The shadows cast by the trees, seemed to move ever closer, like so many clawed hands rising from hell itself. A cold wind was whilstling around her ears, as if calling her name.

Following on from yesterday’s thoughts on starting a Ninja training school, my ADD addled brain found time to surf for Ninja sites, and I found this very interesting one. The least I could do was put a link in after stealing one of their images.

Enter The Ninja!

In addition to lots of crazy Ninja stuff, it also has a fun test to see what type of Ninja you are. Fortunately it confirmed that I am a good Ninja. This pleases me. Class site :)

Does my bum look big in this? I'm sure that red is the new black! The nice thing about training people in a secret art is that those being trained have no knowledge of what the training will consist of. So I could charge £20 an hour to train them to balance on one leg or camouflage themselves in a dining room.

Of course the local police would probably be displeased to hear of a training school for oriental assassins, but then once they saw what I was actually doing then they would probably go away laughing. (more…)

So our recent purchases for baby include (as far as I can remember):

  • Pram (sorry travel system) - £500
  • Nursing chairs - £300
  • Cot - £200
  • Bedding - £100
  • Mattress - £100
  • Nappies - how many do they get through??

The babyjungle theme in our nursery - looks cute but bloody expensive!!That’s just a selection of the things that we have bought, not including a new bathroom and kitchen that we would have probably taken our time over doing. The decorating is nearly over, we just need some new curtains in our bedroom and to put the finishing touches to baby’s room and we are all set. Oh, apart from the kitchen which starts in a fortnight. And that will be fun considering that I’ve discovered that the walls need skimming before the fitters arrive due to the previous owner being more than a little overzealous with the No Nails used to glue the woodpanelling in place :( . Still it all adds to the rich tapestry of life and opens up the hole on our baby savings a little wider. What is that drip drip drip I hear? All this and 2 more paychecks before I become sole provider to my expanding family. Damn I hope that they don’t bring out any more iPods for, like eighteen years or so. (more…)

Musical shoes?Cursed with two left feet? Well perhaps Dada Footwear’s Code M basketball trainers will make your feet more musical. The silver trainers come with a built-in MP3 player capable of storing 100 songs, a wireless headset and embedded speakers for private and public listening, and a USB port for downloading and charging through your computer.

For those who need a trainer’s voice to keep them motivated, Dada’s also planning a Get-Fit program, allowing Code M owners to store a workout regimen in their shoes. Personally I can’t see a real market for these at $200, you might as well get an iPod and not worry about finding space for the sync cradle for a pair of shoes. Besides, if muggers see you coming with white earbuds, then imagine their glee when they spot these silver eyesores! At least if someone steals your iPod you still have some footwear in which to make it home.

Jesus Christ is it really Chico time?So Chico is number one again? Who the hell is buying it? If you know someone who has this in their collection, please let me know, perhaps we can publicly out them on this blog?

Today, I’ve enabled comments and discussions on the site. This new software should help me filter out spam, so please don’t bother, go somewhere else.

Ellie Chidzey gets her own pageWith all of the hits I get regarding Ellie Chidzey, I thought that I would put all of the information and pictures on to a single page. This also includes some new screen caps that are better than the previous ones, so it’s worth taking a look at. So you can find it here. If you have any more information please let me know and I’ll update it :)
